Quoted: Walt by Melidy Designs

Melidy Designs has a new set of Journal cards available to day that feature Walt Quotes.  Walter Elias Disney is a massive inspiration in many people's lives. Not solely because of his animation talents or his ability to create the 'Most Magical Place on Earth' but also because his outlook on life is so inspiring. New in the shop this week are two sets of quote cards, featuring some of Walt's most famous quotes in a subway art style. These quote cards would make great additions to Disneyland and Disney World pages as well as being a great feature for your 'everyday' project life style pages:

Buy if you want both sets Melissa has bundled them together so you can save some pennies!

The classic Disney colors make them them versatile for a wide range of pages, here is what I scrapped using these cards:

A Look Back at Marvelous May

I am so extremely proud of my very first mini kit!  I enrolled in the Scrapaneers “So You Want to be a Design Star” class taught by Traci Reed.  Over the last 8 weeks I have completed each assignment starting with figuring out my design style all the way to my one on one review with Designer Traci Reed.  I have learned so much in the last eight weeks; I was even able to participate in the Design Challenge at Mousescrappers for the month of May.

My Mini Kit- Outer Space-  will be included in the collection at the Mousescrappers store that will release later this week.  I will also be participating in the Mousescrappers blog hop to celebrate this release.  While my kits are a work in progress I am so glad to have a better understanding of what goes into creating the Amazing kits I have in my collection.  I also found that the class really makes me think about my layouts in a different light.  This leads to the next exciting announcement.  A very talented scrapper at MouseScrappers is starting her own professional design adventure and has asked me to be on her Creative Team!!!!

My goal since the Mousescrappers Marathon has been to complete as many challenges as I could, and really work on improving my layouts.  Apparently she noticed my renewed commitment and liked what she saw.  I am so honored to help this amazing new designer out and create layouts and freebies with her super cute kits!  Look for her 1^st Kit release and a blog hop with her later this week!

Finally, one of my favorite Designers had a Creative Team call during iNSD and I felt a little boost of confidence since I was asked to be on a Creative Team.  I applied for a second Creative Team and I was selected!!!!! SO EXCITING!  I have truly been over the moon with excitement and bursting with creativity this month!  Look for a very exciting blog hop at the end of the month to announce that designer!

Check back soon for details on who I will be Creative Team member for and make sure to pick up some fantastic blog hop freebies!!!

Welcome to My Happy Place!

Hi! My name is Brandy and I am fairly new to scrapbooking.  I have only been creating digital pages for a little over a year. A always thought traditional scrapbooking looked fun but somehow never got into it.  I remember in high school being interested in the yearbook club and creating my own Smash book from the dorky senior class journal they give you.  Flash forward quite a few years later to Christmas 2010 - I received a Cricut and Photoshop Elements – this was my first Christmas as a mom.  I used the Cricut to create mostly cards and LOTS of paper goods for my daughter’s Birthday parties and a few friends and family birthday parties.  I used WORD to create the cupcake topper circles….oye!  My journey then took me to wanting to learn PSE, but I could not figure it out so I enrolled in an adult workshop at our local community college 2011.  My goal was to learn enough basics to create a digital scrapbook pages for our Disney Vacations.  I learned a lot from the class and took a follow up class from the same teacher who happened to teach photography classes.  After my second Photoshop class I decided I wanted to take better photographs of my daughter and not have to work on them so much in Photoshop so I enrolled in a Photography class or two or three ;)  I am happy to say that I have joined the amazing Mousescrappers community and love scrapping so much over there that I recently joined an online class to learn how to design so that I can participate in the Digital Design Challenges and create participation prizes.  I am hoping that I can combine my digital scrapbooking and photography love in this new digital design adventure.  I hope use this blog to show some of my designs as well as showcase some of my favorite designs who actually know what they are doing :0) Thanks for stopping by!  See Ya Real Soon!
